Driving around Baltimore, you can easily see the diversity of the city, but the city hold some true gems. The George Peabody Library has a beautiful, traditional stone exterior, but this is not your run of the mill library.
Walking into the George Peabody Library for the first time is nothing short of magical. Six floors of stacks reach from a modern black & white stone floor to a ceiling filled with skylights. The details in the cast-iron balconies & Corinthian columns are beautifully ornate, serving as an elegant contrast with the trappings of academia & traditional architecture. The whole scene is breathtaking—a scene straight from Beauty & the Beast.
