Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the Rising Tide Society’s online Rise Summit. It was an amazing day, hearing advice, ideas & inspiration from successful entrepreneurs. I have pages of notes to review and implement into my own business. Gary Vaynerchuk participated in a keynote Q&A where he share some of his expertise as an industry leader.
This quote from Gary Vaynerchuk really resonated with me. He was asked how he wanted to be remembered & he replied that he wanted people to say, “He built the biggest building in town without tearing other buildings down.” In a society that is consumed with competition & getting ahead, it is refreshing to hear industry leaders strive to run there business without trying to tear others down or sabotage their competition.
In my own business, I believe that best way to build your business is is showing kindness—even in the worst situations—& showing your customers love and friendship. I could not do what I do without my customers, my support system & my competition that inspire and challenge me to do better. Some days that means that I don't get the opportunities I want, but when opportunities do come, I get to build great relationships with my customers and partners. I walk away knowing I earned the my success.
